Guide to Crops in Farmville

The economy of the game comes to a grinding halt without the crops. Crops are really the central focus of Farmville. You should use the available funds to come up with the best possible harvest.

The crops in Farmville can be grouped into three: Animals, Trees, and Seed Crops. The only topic that will be discussed in this particular article is seed crops. If you would like to get hold of more information regarding trees and animals, visit Farmville Trees or Farmville Animals to help you make the most of these other crops.

Seed crops require additional steps that other crops do not. You must have the following: one or more squares of soil ( or free space on your farm to plow a new field), seeds and time (growing times vary from 2 hours to several days). To begin, prepare your field by clicking either the fallow soil where a crop just been harvested, or click an empty space to turn into field. To plow, just click once. You can visit the Market and buy whatever variety of seed you like the minute you are done plowing.

Choosing a Crop

There are plenty of charts online that will tell you which crops will give you the greatest amount of for the smallest amount of time spent. I’m going to leak the secret: berries. Plenty of berries! They’re perfect if you’re going to be logging on frequently or remaining online for extended periods of time. However, if you go to sleep for 8 hours and log back in, your blueberries will be withered. Always plan your crop so that you will always be able to harvest it. Rotten harvests steal your coins and effort so try to avoid them at all costs.

As you level up and unlock more crops, keep inserting rows of information to your table. This chart will make it easier for you to plan your crops.

Vehicles:

Zynga provided farming vehicles which makes the farmer’s life simpler. These new additions help farmer with the tedious chores of plowing, seeding and harvesting. Buy a tractor if you’re sick or exhausted of clicking each square of ground to plow. The tractor allows you to work 4 times more quickly as it plows 2×2 squares of ground at the same time. Look at the fuel gauge that you can see in the lower left corner of your computer screen — it’s possible to run out of fuel. Your fuel tank fills-up entirely every 6.5 hours. The vehicles on your farm all share the same fuel tank. The harvester and the seeder are other two farm vehicles which will make your farm life easier. They work the same way, harvesting or seeding a 2×2 square of ground.
